  2. I think Christopher Columbus is a criminal because he did not discover america, he had two sides and he enslaved thousands of Natives that had been living there for five thousand years or more that is why I think Christopher Columbus is a Criminal.

  3. Christopher Columbus was and will always be a villain. I believe that the negative actions that he is most known for doing are much heavier on his reputation than the positive actions. Columbus made a great bridge between England and the New world. COlumbus also on that voyage to the new world enslaved and killed many Native Americans. when Columbus reached the islands he praised the native people but later let his men to steal from them and even rape the towns women. overall I fell that Columbus was a villain for the crimes he commited.

    2. Christopher Columbus is a very controversial figure, but his good deeds and consequences outweigh his bad deeds. Christopher Columbus is praised in the Caribbean, with statues of San Cristobal on the islands. He brought prosperity and wealth to the islands, and was peaceful with many of the Native Americans, showing them farming tecniques, trading goods with them, and existing peacefully with them. Overall, your argument on why he was a criminal was too weak to show a thoughtful point. But nice effort Akeem

    3. I DON'T THINK HE IS A CRIMINAL MAYBE LIKE A BAD PERSON BUT GOOD AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE HE FOUND AMERICA, MAKING IT THE PLACE IT IS TODAY

      ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I AGREE WITH UNKOWN ¨WATCHU KNOW¨

    4. AJ, I respectfully disagree. He took the land that Native Americans discovered themselves and claimed it as his own. Thatś pretty un-hero-like.

  4. I think he is a criminal because he enslaved Native Americans, he also said that he discovered America when the Native Americans were there first. On his trip from Spain to India he found tanos and he know they weren't Indians but decided to call them that.

  5. Columbus can be considered a villain. He can be considered a villain because he had beheaded three Indian leaders publicly and cut off an Indian's ear. Columbus also enslaved more than a thousand people on Hispaniola. About 50,000 Indians committed mass suicide rather than comply with the Spanish. Those are my reasons I think Columbus should be considered a villain.

  7. I think that Christopher Columbus was a hero because he allowed the rest of the world to know that there was another country out there which is America. The immigrants from other countries have mostly made America a better place.
