What could be a possible message from “Wild Things” that we could apply to our own lives? In other words, what advice might the song be trying to offer us? Be sure to include at least two lines from the song to support your conclusions (you may look back at the lyrics as often as you like).
I think the message of this song is that you should stay different, and shouldn't have to follow other people's rules. She says this in the lines "Then leave us alone, cause we don't need your policies. We have no apologies for being." More lines that express these thoughts are "But you and I, we're pioneers, we make our own rules. Our own room, no bias here."
ReplyDeleteYour message is great, It's strong because you should always be you and never let anyone tell you what to do.
DeleteThe message I found from the song is that you should be yourself, and feel proud about it, no matter what other people tell you. "You tell me to tread, I'd rather be a wild one instead," tells us that you should be you, and to not try and be someone else. "Find you're great, don't you hide your face," is another lyric that states that you should be proud of who you are. Be yourself, not someone else's image of you.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the message is a way to express to not let anyone bully but your message also makes sense too.
DeleteOne of the many possible messages that the song "Wild Things" has is be yourself and don't let anyone change you. There are many lyrics to support this message and here is one of them. "So gather all the rebels now, we rebel-rouse and sing aloud. We don't care what they say no way, no way." This line tells us to be ourselves and don't worry about who's around and what they think. Another line to support this is, "The cool kids aren't cool to me. They're not cooler than we are." This lyric tells us that we don't need to be a cool kid to be cool and we're cooler when we're ourselves. The song "Wild Things" tells us to be ourselves and we can't let others change that.
ReplyDeleteI also think that you should be yourself and don't let people change that because people do judge you.So you shouldn't listen to them. I think this is strong because you have perfectly backed up your message with great evidence. This message is really what the song is about. You shouldn't let people change you.
DeleteA possible message from the song the "wild things" that we can apply in our own lives is to be yourself, don't let other's change you and you are perfect just the way you are. Evidence from the song is "you tell me to trend, I'd be a wild one instead." The song writer wants you to be unique. The other piece of evidence is in the the line "find you're great, don't hide your face." Being yourself and not letting others change you can be a possible message.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said and thought it was a strong interpretation and well worded because of the lines from the song you used and what you said about them.
DeleteOne possible message from the song "Wild Things" by Alessia Cara is that you should just be yourself and not listen to anyone else. A line from the song to support that would be "We don't care what they say no way, no way." This line is saying that you shouldn't care what people have to say about you and that you should like yourself for who you are. Another line from the song is "Then leave us alone, cause we don't need your policies." This line means that you don't need to listen to other peoples' rules because you can make up your own. This is why I think this song's message is that you shouldn't listen to anyone else and just be yourself.
ReplyDeleteI think that was a very good interpretation of the song. It was good because you pulled out very meaningful messages from the lyrics and told us how to apply these messages into our own lives.
DeleteI think that the song Wild Things by Alessia Cara has a deeper meaning that can't be gained at a first glance. The song really restates two strong messages that can be used in our daily lives.
ReplyDeleteThe first message is that everybody is equal, no matter how cool they may seem, or as Alessia Cara says it " The cool kids aren't cool to me, they're not cooler than we are."
The second message is that it is okay to break the rules if it makes you happy, or as stated in the song, "I lose my balance on these eggshells you tell me to tread, I'd rather be a wild thing instead."
In conclusion, the song Wild Things gives the advice that everybody is equal, and that you don't always need to follow the rules if the rules make you miserable.
This is a really good and strong interpretation of the message. I really like how you have two messages that are both kind of hidden and I completely agree with your messages. The message saying that you can and should break the rules if they make you miserable, I think, is the stronger one because a lot of people are scared to break the rules although they're caged in with those rules. Again, great job!
DeleteThe song "Wild things" by Alessia Cara can have many lessons inferred from the lyrics. One lesson that could be learned from the song is that just because certain people are considered "cool" doesn't mean that they are liked by all and befriended by all; as it says in the song "Don't wanna hang around with the in-cfrowd, The cool kids aren't cool to me". Also, to not be friends with people who want to change you, to be friends with people who accept you for who you are. In the song it says "If you don't like our 808s then leave us alone".
ReplyDeleteThis interpretation is really solid Ricky. I do agree with you that people who consider themselves "cool" aren't "cool" at all and you should't let them control you.
DeleteThe message from the song "Wild Things" by Alessia Cara is to be ourselves, no matter what. One line to support this is "Don't wanna hang around the in-crowd", this line tells us not to follow the crowd unless that's who we are, be your own person. Another supporting line from the song is "The cool kids aren't cool to me", meaning you don't need to be "cool", you just need to be yourself, your own inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a good interpretation and I also have a very similar interpretation. I think you have a strong interpretation because you explained why you used each line. Great Job!
DeleteI never really focused on the meaning of the song Wild Things, but now that I've actually read the lyrics, I realize that the song is actually more meaningful. I think the message that Alessia Cara is trying to get across is to be yourself and to not follow the crowd. 2 lines from the song say "Don't wanna hang around the in-crowd/The cool kids aren't cool to me." I think this basically means to do your own thing and not do what's "cool" or "trendy." You can also get that from the line "Then leave us alone, cause we don't need your policies." You don't always have to do what everyone else is doing and you don't have to be a follower. This is a great message to get across because I feel like a lot of people worry about fitting in.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a awesome interpretation of this song! I like how you make the point that fitting in doesn't really matter. I also think that the lines you picked really support your message well. Good job!

A possible message from the song "Wild Things" is that you should always be yourself, even if it means standing out from the crowd or doing things differently from everyone else. One line that supports this message is "We make our own rules." This shows that you can follow your own rules and don't have to follow the rules or values of anyone else. The line "Don't want to hang around the in-crowd, the cool kids aren't cool to me," not only contributes to the message of being yourself, but also displays that it is better to be yourself than a "cool kid".
ReplyDeleteGreat Job! Your interpretation of the song "Wild Things" was strong because you supported what you think with two lines from the song, and you explained why they supported the message. Your message was almost the same if not the same as the message I interpreted from the song.
DeleteA possible message in the song Wild Things, is to be yourself no matter who you are. One line that would correspond to this is, "We don't care what they say no way, no way." This would mean, don't listen to what other people are saying as long as your being yourself. Another line would be, "The cool kids aren't cool to me, They're not cooler than we are." This line would imply, that it doesn't matter if your cool/popular, as long as your staying true to yourself, it's OK to be a wild thing.
ReplyDeleteYour interpretation is spot on! I can agree that you should be yourself, and its okay to be wild! I believe your interpretation is strong since you back it up with great lines from the song! This message is really what the song is about. Great job!!
DeleteA possible message from "Wild Things" that we could apply in our own lives is be yourself and don't let anyone change you. A line from the lyrics that goes along with this message could be "We don't care what they say no way, no way." Another line from the lyrics could be "You tell me to tread, I'd rather be a wild one instead." I think both lines go along with the message. Also they say I choose the path I take and no one can change me or my mind.
ReplyDeleteKendall! Your interpretation of the song "Wild things" is flawless! I really understand what you're trying to say. Don't change for anyone because you should be you for you. Overall, great job Kendall!!
DeleteI think the lesson that could be added to our life from wild things is that we don't have to follow the crowd and be original we can be different from others and be a different type of cool. When the song states "You tell me to tread, I'd rather be a wild one instead Don't wanna hang around with the in-crowd" that tells me that we don't have to tread or stay with others we can be wild in our own way and we don't have to follow the crowd. It also says "The cool kids aren't cool to me They're not cooler than we are" tells us that we define our own cool, what cool means to us!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your interpretation of the song. I can see you can understand that we should be our "own cool" by backing up your statement with lines such as "The cool kids aren't cool to me." Good job.
DeleteThe message in the song "Wild Things" by Alessia Cara is to do the things that you enjoy doing and to ignore anyone who is trying to prevent you from what you are doing and to tell them that you will find your own way through life without them. For example, in the song it states,"We don't care what they say no way,". This line shows that you should prevent people from influencing the way you do things and the way you live. Another line from the song is, "We brought our drum and this is how we dance no mistakin', we make our breaks, if you don't like our 808's then leave us alone,". This line shows that people trying to discourage you do not need to be with you and that you can do with out them. It also shows that you should try to surround yourself with people who love you and accept you for who you are. Overall, the message of "Wild Things" is to ignore the people who discourage and to do things the way you want to do them.
ReplyDeleteGood job on your message for "Wild Things" by Alessia Cara! I also had a similar message. I also think that we should not care about the people who try to discourage us and it's okay to change the rules of the game. This message is very strong because many people get caught up in what other people think and it's not always true what they say. In the song when it said, "... this is how we dance, no mistakin'..." I think it shows that you don't have to do what other people are doing and you are doing it differently on purpose, not by accident. Overall, good job!
DeleteThe song, Wild Things by Alessia Clara, has many messages for us to learn. One message we can lean from the song is to be yourself, and to not give on what the media wants us to be like. One lyric that supports the message is,"Don't wanna hang around in the in-crowd. The cool kids aren't cool to me. They're not cooler than we are." This lyric is telling us how we don't need to be in the in-crowd to be considered cool. All we have to do is be ourselves. Another lyric that goes with the message is,"Let 'em sell what they're sellin', there are no buyers here." This lyric is saying that we don't need to follow what the media is trying to make us do. The lyric is saying we just need to do what we're doing and be confident with who we are. There are many messages we can learn from the song Wild Things. One message is to be yourself, and to not give in on what the media wants you to be like.
ReplyDeleteThis interpretation is saying that if you be yourself, you are cool in your own way. There is not a specific group of "cool" kids. I think it is strong when you say the media influences what we think about ourselves. Don't be what the crowd wants you to be.
DeleteIn places like school, work or even in the community, people are often expected to live up to standards that “greater” people have set. Sometimes this leads to people being stuck in a wormhole of not being able to express themselves as they are and having to act like someone else, and it damages self esteem. But aren’t people taught of a young age that they are special and unique? What good does that lesson do if society is taught to act a certain way? Alessia Cara’s song Wild Things teaches us that being yourself isn’t something that people have to be afraid of. If you act like yourself and don’t expect someone to tell you what to do it doesn’t lead to dire consequences, but rather a new outlook on life. The lines “The cool kids aren’t cooler than me” and “Let them sell what they’re selling, there are no buyers here” perfectly represent the message I think the song has. You don’t have to always follow the big city crowd, you can be wild and “free” and not care about judgement from others as long as it’s making you a better person-This is what we should apply to our own lives.
ReplyDeleteI had the same interpretation as you, Suhani. I think the way you wrote it is very strong because you included an introduction that included your thinking instead of just jumping right into what you thought the message was . I also think the lines you chose represented the message really well. Overall, I think you did a very good job.
DeleteI believe the message from the song Wild Side is to be your self and don't pretend to be someone you aren't . I also think the message is to hang out with people where you are your self, and your not pretending to be someone else. The lyrics from the song,"don't wanna hang around the in-crowd " says to not be around people where you aren't your self. The lyrics "then leave us alone, cause we don't need your policies" also has the message to be your self and don't pretend to be someone you aren't because the someone else is like that. That is what I believe the message from the song Wild Side is .
ReplyDeleteThis is a good interpretation of the song Wild Things. Those two lines are a good way to show what you think the message is. Another line you could use would be "We're fine all by ourselves."
DeleteWild Things by Alessia Cara is a song with many advise and message. One lesson is that you can just be yourself and and not have to follow the crowd. She says "Don't wanna hang around the in-crowd." You don't have to be exactly like anyone else you can just be cool in your own way. She also says "The cool aren't cool to me. They're not cooler than we are." You can live your life the way you want to live and you don't have to be like everyone else. You can be unique.

DeleteOne possible message that we could apply to our own lives from the song, "Wild Things" by Alessia Cara is to be yourself and be around people who respect your way of life. This is because in the song it stated, "But you and I we're pioneers, we make our own rules."
