In one paragraph, you will summarize the historical time period or event that you have researched so far. In your paragraph, be sure to include:
- at least two specific details from your notes to help you summarize the historical time period or event,
- a lesson that you think can be learned from the historical time period or event and applied to the future, one that is supported by the two details you include, and
- proper spelling, punctuation and grammar.
D-day was on June 6, 1944. It was an allied invasion against the Nazis as part of WW11. The United States and allied forces planned D-day to drain German resources and cut off access to key military bases. This attack was part of a plan to liberate Europe and defeat Germany. Allied forces were sent to attack five beaches in Normandy, France. Soldiers had to jump with parachutes from planes and many of them struggled to get safely up the shore without getting shot. Medics ran to the shores tending to people who have been shot or had been struggling to reach the shore. I think the greatest lesson learned from this event was adversity and hardships can bring out the greatest qualities in people.
ReplyDeleteyou could make one of your main confilt like all of the frends of the main chariter die fast
DeleteYour main character could be one of the soldiers jumping from the plane
DeleteThe main character should be a person from the Allied Forces. You can describe him with messy hair from the battle and wearing a uniform and carrying a gun. He should probably have cuts and scars on him as well, because he is in a battle.
DeleteMy historical time period or event is World War 2, but more specifically the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The bombing of Pearl Harbor was a cruel act by the Japanese and it was a devastating blow on the United States. The bombing of pearl harbor got the United States angry and ready to fight this war. In fact, over 183 Japanese aircrafts converged on Pearl Harbor to cause the attack. Also, before the bombing of Pearl Harbor the United States had between 100 and 150 aircrafts ready on Pearl Harbor in case of a surprise attack by the Japanese, but after the bombing was over the United States only had 7 aircrafts fit to fly. A good lesson we can learn from World War 2 is to accept change no matter the circumstances, the allies fought really hard in this war against the Germans and in the end they came out on top. The United States did not join the war in till 1941 and the war began in 1939, so that means between 1939 and 1940 the allies made up of Britain and France.
ReplyDelete-Sam M
A Main Conflict that you could have is tying to get to safety during the attack or trying to fend off the Japanese.
DeleteAn Idea for your character is they can be selfless and brave and try to help people after the attacks.
DeleteYour character could be very emotional and shows lots of emotion.
DeleteOn September 11th, 2001 four planes in the United States were hijacked by islam group al-Qaeda. One flight left Newark, New Jersey and once it got hijacked; it was heading for the capital of the US. This flight was flight 93. The terrorists rushed the cockpit and were threatening the crew with a bomb and knives. When the passengers found out that they were going to crash and there was no bomb they decided that they would fight back to spare the people at the capital. The terrorists crashed the plane. Although nobody survived that flight, their kindness spared hundreds of people.
ReplyDeleteThe main event will of course be when the hijacked plane hitting the twin towers.
DeleteThe main confilct could be a pov of a person in the twin towers. ,Skylar
Deletethe main character could be a man notices a lot of things and is kind of old so he doesn't mind risking his life
DeleteDuring the bombing of pearl harbor a lot of men helped move other people to safety. Especially from the USS Arizona which was sunk in a huge explosion after a bomb hit its gunpowder stores. Some people even manned anti-aircraft guns trying to shoot down some bombers. Thanks to those guys they got 29 planes down. That’s pretty good for a surprise attack with around 360 planes. A pretty good lesson I think you can learn from this is when things get hard people come together.
ReplyDeleteABE, you could write your story based on a man that had experienced Pearl Harbor and was involved in the bombing. I would say to concentrate more on the surprise factor of the attack. His loved ones died.
DeleteA possible main conflict for this topic could be trying to shoot down the bombers. The main character could be one of the people that are manning the anti-aircraft guns.
DeleteThe main character can be very skilled in combat
DeleteI think your main character could have tons of emotions like anger, or hatred. These emotions could be expressed by attacking one of the bombers.
DeleteFour years ago was the start of a new disease called covid 19. Covid-19 originated from a disease called the SARS-CoV-2 Virus. Which originated from a virus called SARS-CoV-1 virus. SARS stands for severe acute respiratory syndrome. The earliest cases of Covid-19 were in animals all around the world, but the earliest human cases of covid-19 was at the end of 2019, and this all happened in china. The virus can be mutated to be stronger and faster. WHO also known as the world health organization called a worldwide pandemic on January 13 2020. During this time covid-19 had become a worldwide issue, and scientists were struggling to make an antidote for this unknown virus. The disease killed millions of people. This virus can be spread through a cough, sneeze, breathing, and even singing. There is still a lot more we still don't know about this virus. You can help stop this virus from spreading if you stand 6 feet away from each other and cough with your elbow you can stop people and others from getting this disease. You can also wear a mask outside to keep everyone safe.
ReplyDeleteThe main conflict could be a boy whos family member has COVID 19 and dies and the boy wants to make a chance with COVID 19.
DeleteYou can make your story conflict about one of your family members dying from covid and your work is also very important so you have to balance taking care of the sick person and work
DeleteYou could have a scientist who has to treat people with COVID 19.
DeleteI think your main character could have lots of angry emotions because one of his loved ones is suffering from Covid-19. These emotions could be expressed by your character having tons of anger towards the doctors that are treating this loved one.

ReplyDeleteOn September 11th, 2001 it was a beautiful, bright, and sunny day. Everyone had gone to work, and was having a great day. Coming closer to 8:45 am, a horrific thing happened. A plane had crashed into one of the twin towers. People thought that something had happened to the pilot, but after the second plane crashed into the other tower, everyone knew they were under attack. Smoke spread all over New York. People started to get sick from it. Everyone thought the worst was over but, soon after a third plane crashed into the pentagon. Around 400 police officers, and firefighters had died from trying to save people's lives. Around 3,000 people had died. 49% of Adults felt like they couldn't concentrate for weeks after it had happened. It was a very tragic day on 9/11/01. A lesson we can learn from this is to not take things for granted. Anything can happen at any point.
Your conflict could be always be prepared for anything. Maybe write as a firefighter who goes in to save other people. Show how the firefighter wasn't prepared, and how they worked around that.
DeleteYour conflict could be you should always be on the clock for any situation.
DeleteA appearance for a character could be someone that is wearing Jordans.
DeleteYou could possibly sneak in the appearance of a firefighter, and describe their clothes
DeleteSome symptoms of the plague are violent shivering and boils the size of walnuts that later grew to be the size of a goose egg. A lesson we can learn about the plague is that personal hygiene and healthcare are very important. This is because people during the plague didn't take showers because they thought it would open up their pores and get the plague. It's also believed that people who drank wine didn't get the plague. During the plague doctors only had cures for diseases that have been around for around 1,500 years.
ReplyDeleteI think the conflict could be a person trying to survive the plague.
DeleteI think an idea for a main character could be a plague doctor using strange and bizarre cures. They're very confident trying something new, and are always spiteful and confused when what they try fails.
DeleteYou should make your character get the plague. But your character should be brave, and motivated to fight the plague. Later in the story, your character should be fearless and come up with a vaccine to fight the plague by coming in contact with people that have it to study the plague further.

ReplyDeleteOne very important detail from my notes about 9/11 is when 9/11 had happened nearly 3,000 people had died and also when the first plane crashed into the towers people had no way down so some people decided to take matters into their own hands by jumping out of the towers of course no one who had jumped out of the towers survived. Another very important detail is survivors of 9/11 got 1.8 billion dollars in compensation that year. One lesson that can be learned from 9/11 is to establish plans and/or mechanisims for emergency action. Another kind of important detail is that everyone that was a victim of 9/11 aged from 2 to 85 years old. Also eight children were killed on 9/11 from the attacks
A possible main conflict for 9/11 could be to show the experience of one of the survivors of the attack, and cover how they view the events a few years after the fact.
DeleteA suggestion for your main conflict could be a character having a mental debate on whether to jump from the building or not.
DeleteOne main conflict you can have is the main character working in the tower and have them witness the horrible events. You could also have more characters like the main characters friends or family also in the world trade center.
DeleteA possible main character for your story could be a kind man or lady that was in one of the buildings when it was hit and goes back in to save someone.
DeleteA possible main character for your story could be a whos dad was in the second tower and can´t get out.
DeleteWorld War II lasted an UNBELIEVABLE SIX YEARS! (1939-1945). It's still the deadliest war in HUMAN HISTORY with over 70+ Soldiers dying. A week after German Dictator Adolf Hitler took his own life in 1945, Germany surrendered. There were two sides to the Allies and the Axis. 1941 was the worst year of WW2, because this was the start of the Holocaust, it's also the deadliest year in WW2 due to the Battle Attack On Pearl Harbor (2nd deadliest battle in history) on the seventh of December. The Battle of Stalingrad in 1942 was as deadly as the Attack on Pearl Harbor. A lesson I think that can be learned from this historical time period is that. To accept change for peace. I say this because all this just for one little thing isn't worth it at all. TONS of lives were lost, Families were split up,tons of pollution, and so much more. War just sucks. The military ripped people out of their homes because they needed men for war. Little did they know they were about to fight the worst war known to mankind. No man should ever deserve to experience something like war.
ReplyDeleteI think a main conflict can be a man who was in both wars and witnessed the absolute worst of it all.
DeleteI think a main conflict can be someone who was drafted into war and witnessed the terrible events
DeleteI think that this could be a young adult, around 20, who experienced world war II, then was at the Battle Attack on Pearl Harbor. He could also have an attitude, and he could also be strong-willed.
DeleteYou could write this story as someone who fought in WW2 , and incorporate other soldiers and add conversations between them, or even when they are in war what they say to each other.
DeleteMy topic is on 9/11 and an important life lesson I think can be learned is that even something beautiful can turn into something horrible. On the day of 9/11, everyone described it as a beautiful sunny day, but it would soon turn into something no one would ever be able to forget. On 9/11 everyone was out in their shorts and tank tops, even taking pictures of the bright blue sky. When one of the planes crashed into the north tower, everyone brushed it off and thought that it was a simple accident due to the pilot, but after the second plane it was clear. America was under attack.
ReplyDeleteA possible main conflict that I suggest is a person inside the building and how he or she personally experienced 9/11
DeleteDepending on where your main character is positioned in your story you could have a conflict between the character and a loved one. The character might not have much longer to live due to the towers crashing and is unable to reach this loved one.
Deletei think you can make one of your characters a kid whos dad was in the second tower and can´t get out.
Deleteyou could make the main character the president because he can make some laws preventing something like this
DeleteThe swing era was an era of jazz musicians and memorizing harmonies, all coming together to form big bands and a roaring crowd. As the new style emerged in the late 1930s, it took the country by storm. New dances were invented, people of all races came together, and it boosted the U.S.’s economy drastically. Not only that, but often the music that came out of famous venues or a restaurant down the street changed people’s lives for the better. Some of the most famous rock musicians in the world today who started their careers when they were at their lowest points, such as Elvis, were influenced primarily by jazz. The swing era was also jazz’s most famous era, with millions of people listening to it daily. From 1929-1931, America’s economy had plummeted after the Great Depression, until radios had became a household appliance. In fact, the number of homes with radios was originally 23 million, but was then increased to 91 million, and over 10 million jazz records were sold. When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change, and jazz is no exception to that.
ReplyDeleteYou could add a lot of notions of community and how one character may be tied in with others as everyone is going through a systematic period together. Hope as well may be a huge factor as the main character may be struggling greatly with money issues, but could find a release in Jazz.
DeleteYour character could be somebody that's really poor from the Great Depression and becomes a jazz musician. You could show his emotion through narration and show him being happier when playing jazz.
DeleteThe French Revolution was caused by France’s economic state after the 7 year war ( or french and indian war ), unfair taxation on the poor, and philosophers writing about enlightenment ideas. France was in major debt after losing the 7 year war, instead of the rich cutting back on luxuries they heavily taxed the poor. The poor had no representation in parliament therefore no way to change this unfair taxation system, and even worse they were in the middle of a drought. Soon almost all the poor were starving, they rioted and looted bakeries looking for bread or grain. Eventually the tension between the poor and rich broke out into an all out revolution. The poor stormed the Bastille ( a famous prison in Paris ) looking for weapons. This marked the beginning of the revolution. Using the weapons they found the poor took control by capturing the king and his family; they made a new government by forming the National Assembly and forcing the king to approve it. Soon after the revolutionaries fell under the idealists of Maximilien Robespierre and his followers causing them to behead anyone who was against the revolution. This horrible event could have been avoided if the king had just listened to his people and been fair.
ReplyDeleteA main conflict that you could perhaps use could be the poor taking control of the king. The main character could be one of the people that were part of taking control over the royal family, possibly a fictional one that could play a huge part in it.
DeleteThe main conflict could be that people were starving and trying to survive.
DeleteMain character could have a lot of resentment and anger that builds up about the taxation situation and have an outburst or some sort of closure/climax near the end.
DeleteYour character could be really nervous about how the country is going to turn out. You can show this through his look on a day to day basis.
DeleteApril 30 1945 at 3:15pm something that would relive the whole world happened. Adolf Hitler committed suicide due to the fact that ten thousands of soviet troops where swarming him in berlin. Everyone wanted their revenge against hitler so as the news got spreaded out to the world everyone felt their heart drop and the world went silent knowing that there would be anymore harm to the world because of hitler. After the news got spread and everyone finally felt relieved they started to wonder why he would do this if he was such a powerful man and could control anything he wanted. When the Red army found Hitlers body next to his wife and their dog they also saw a gun in Hitlers hand and a wound on Hitlers head from where he shot himself. His wife Eva Braun committed suicide with cyanide capsules which hitler planned there death 1 month pryor and 2 day before tested the capsules on there dog to make sure they would die.
ReplyDeletefor your main conflict you could do one of the nazis after adolf hitler commited suicide and what they had to do so they were not getting attacked, like if other nazis committed or how they felt after there leader was dead.
DeleteI feel that your main event should be about how Hitlers death affected the world.
DeleteA possible main conflict could be showing what happened to Martin Bormann , a trusted associate of Hitler. After Hitler's death, he disappeared from the Fuhrerbunker and was not found until his remains were unearthed in 1974.
DeleteMain character could show uneasiness and confusion and be almost held back as surrounding people gain closure and security but they cannot overcome/understand how the ordeal just ended.
DeleteYour main character should show their emotion that Hitler's death affected him more then others
DeleteThe sherman march to sea war started in November 15, 1864 ended December 21,1864 and took place in atlanta. The reason to start the war was so geograi's civilians to abandon the confederate cause. General William T Sherman led 60,000 soldiers to war and more than 1,300 soldiers died in the war. They traveled over 37 days
ReplyDeleteA suggestion I have for a main conflict could be a young character trying to get over the trauma of witnessing more than 1,300 of his fellow soldiers perish.
DeleteI suggest a general under William Sherman, who is forced to comply with the orders despite their opinions. They're very stubborn and dead-set on expressing his ideas even if they aren't being recognized.
DeleteA suggestion for a character is a young soldier, maybe just about 18 who serves under General William T Sherman. You could describe how the young soldier feels.
DeleteI feel that your character could be a soldier under General William T. Sherman, and they could have an apprehensive personality.
DeleteIn 1948 when the British granted Ceylon (Sri Lanka) freedom from colonization, tension increased between the LTTE (Tamils) and the Sri Lankan government (Sinhalese). This soon turned into a bloodbath. The Sri Lankan Civil War lasted 26 years, from 1983-2009. 100,000 lives were lost and 800,000 families were displaced. Many went to the closest neighboring country of India. Bombs could've been placed anywhere. It really was never safe to go out. The war set back the country's development, as the war was mainly ethnic tension. The war needed a compromise, but that never worked no matter how many times it was attempted. The Tamil (Hindus) wanted to create a Tamil country while the Sinhalese (Buddhists) did not want that to happen.
ReplyDeleteA possible main conflict could be a family, or perhaps just a single main character attempting to escape Sri Lanka in the midst of the civil war, narrowly avoiding intense battles and minefields.
DeleteA possible main conflict could be that your main character is a soldjer and does not want to die
DeleteI think that your main conflict could be a citizen that hates all of the war and fighting in their country.
DeleteA Main Character could be the head of the British government.
DeleteA lesson we can infer from the Vietnam war is to not get ahead of yourself. During the Vietnam War John McCain III was flying an intensely threatening bombing run on a power plant in the capital of North Vietnam. However, this bombing run was different, this run posed a dramatically increased threat on aircraft. Hanoi was heavily armed with surface to air missiles known as SAMs, these missiles track airborne enemy aircraft then launch at devastatingly high speeds. John McCain was shot down over Hanoi, falling victim to a SAM launched at his aircraft from Hanoi. As a result, John McCain was seen by North Vietnam citizens, then captured by the North Vietnamese military. John McCain was brought into a treacherous prison in the center of Hanoi, where he was brutally battered, beaten, tortured and interrogated. Eventually he was released from North Vietnam, but if he recognized his limitations and didn’t get ahead of himself he wouldn’t have been captured by the North Vietnamese. In life it is crucial to know your limitations and to not overestimate yourself or your skills.
ReplyDeleteA conflict your main character could go through is going through the torturing and physical trauma of being captured. Also the mental trauma he goes through could also be neat to explore as a conflict.
DeleteA conflict you could do is the trama your main character had, and how it took time to heal from all of it.
DeleteA suggestion for a character is you could include a conversation between a Vietnamese soldier who tortured John McCain and John Mccain. That could help the reader infer the personality of John McCain.
DeleteOn September 11, 2001, the Twin Towers in New York city and the Pentagon just outside of Washington D.C were crashed into by three planes, one at the Pentagon and two at the Twin Towers. Thousands of people were killed and injured that day. 9/11 is now a national day of remembrance of those who passed in the wreck or our loved ones who have died. A lesson we can learn from 9/11 is to appreciate everything we have at the present time, because we never know if something devastating will happen because major killings like 9/11 happen so suddenly. So many people lose something or someone important to them that they didn't appreciate enough.
ReplyDeleteA conflict could be a person in the tower trying to get out.
DeleteMaybe a firefighter who has to enter in to save people. Or someone who survives and remembers the moment.
DeleteYou main character can have heath problems that make him/her have less coordination of where him/her is.
DeleteThe main character could be a person on the plain. You can describe them getting frustrated because of the hijackers and show their fear, because their family is on the plane as well.
DeleteOn April 4th of 1968 Martin Luther King was staying the night of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee at the time with a pretty high crime rate. The Main reason he stayed at the Motel even with holes and hoods that are night near is because “he liked the bed there” Supposedly. After a speech they went to, they went back to the motel and got ready to go to dinner. As King and his friends talked and stood near the Railing. As they were about to leave, 40 year old criminal James Earl Ray was near a bathroom about 100 meters away from King With a Sniper Rifle with a scope on it. He had shot King In the Right cheek, breaking his jaw. The bullet also severed several vertebrae as it traveled down his spinal cord, severing his jugular vein and major arteries in the process, before staying in his shoulder. King died less than an hour later and Ray got arrested a couple years later serving 99 years in prison and died at 70 from Kidney and liver disease. The Lesson we all could learn from this is that be aware of where you are.
ReplyDeleteI think your conflict could be respect and live your life to the fullest. Maybe explain all of the great things Martin Luther did. Then continue on with what happened when he was killed.
DeleteYour main character could be James and his big motive to do it and how he felt about the big MLK speech.
DeleteThe behavior of a character could be some one talking to Martin about civil rights, and they speak their passion about it.
DeleteFrom Meggers:
ReplyDeleteBang!
All the kids hear lots of racket outside the classrooms.Everyone was scared especially little Daniel. They were all making their gingerbread house with joy in their eyes awaiting Christmas day coming. The kids were told to go and run and hide in the cubbies, all wondering what was going on outside of Miss Davino’s classroom while she tried to keep the door closed. This big man came in the door.He had a gun in his hand. 15 minutes later 27 people were dead. 20 of them were 6 or 7 years old.Everyone in town was destroyed, all coming to the church and joining hands to try to get through this hard time. In the next few years foundations were formed to try to prevent these things. The Sandy Hook promise was born. Now this town even with heartbreak still comes together to remember them all. Even after hard times we can all come together.
your main conflict should be one of the children and they grow up to stop shootings
DeleteI think the main conflict could be a kid who was in a classroom next to the shooting and heard everything going on, and then later grew up making an organization to prevent those shootings.
DeleteI think a main conflict that could happen in your story could be a teacher that was traumatized and never forgave herself for seeing one of her students stuck in the hall way. She wasn't able to save the kid and the kid might not have made it.
Deletethe main character could be a little girl who feels very strongly about what she thinks is right\what she believes in. And that's why she made an organization to stop the shootings.
DeleteYour Main character could have lots of emotions like fear and horror.
DeleteA good conflict that you could use is acceptance. A battle for your main character trying to accept what happened but also denying it.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThe main conflict could be trying to survive the bomb from a few miles away.
The main character may greatly struggle with grief or other sudden changes in life, leading to the possible issue of acceptance and overcoming in life.
ReplyDeleteA main conflict that I suggest is a person/Main character that suffers PTSD and such other from the horrible time period.
ReplyDeleteThe conflict can be about a mother and her family trying to survive the bomb
ReplyDeleteThe behavior of the main character could be irrational and unpredictable while he deals with angry emotions
ReplyDeleteYour character should blue eyes, black hair. Skylar
ReplyDeleteYour character could narrate there feelings and thoughts about the topic and not say them out loud.
ReplyDeleteYour main character should have brown eyes, blonde hair. Skylar
ReplyDeleteThe main character could be a civilian from a collapsing country that witnesses the destruction of war. The character could have emotions of fear or hate to the people who fight the war. Appearance could be skinny and small to show how war has affected the character physically.
ReplyDeleteOn September 11, 2001, several planes were hijacked, in the United States, by a terrorist group. 2 out of 4 planes crashed into the twin towers, 1 crashed into the Pentagon, and the final plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. The Islam group that had hijacked the planes was called Al-Qaeda. Thousands of people in America tragically died. People lost their loved ones. An important lesson to take from this event is you should live your life to the fullest, because you never know what might happen the next day.
ReplyDeleteI think your conflict should be a islamic man crashing into the two towers.
DeleteI think your main conflict should be the marines trying to hunt down and capture osama bin laden.
DeleteI think your character should wear a hijab with some raggedy clothing
DeleteI think that your main character should be tired and angry from all of the work and running from trying to capture osama bin ladin.
DeleteMy historical time period is world war one, but takes place when the U.S. gets involved. Germany was trying to get more land, they already took over Belgium with the help of Austria-hungary. Germany was going to attempt to take over France as well. The U.S. is allies with France and they helped them out. At first the U.S. was just supplying them with munitions and money, but eventually started to send soldiers over to France. Around 2 million U.S. soldiers were sent to France to help Defend from Germany and Austria-hungary. I think the lesson that would work with this would be if something bad happens don’t let that bring you down you should use it to motivate you.
ReplyDeleteI think your main conflict should be a world leader leading the soldiers to help defend Paris.
DeleteI think that your character should be wearing a dirty uniform and be skinny because of the lack of food. They should also be grumpy and tired.
DeleteI think the main conflict was for a soldier to be lost in the trenches without any food or water or other troops.
DeleteI think your character should wear a ghillie suit or a captain suit.
DeleteDan W:
ReplyDeleteThe atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a tragic event that happened all the way back in 1945. Hiroshima was bombed unexpectedly on August 6, 1945 at 8:15 am by a Uranium 235 bomb nicknamed “Little Boy” dropped from a B-29 bomber. It released a blast equivalent to 15,000 tons of TNT. Nagasaki was bombed on August 9, 1945. A mere three days later by an atomic bomb made from plutonium nicknamed “Fat Man”. The bomb released a blast equivalent to 22 kilotons. In total, a whopping 200,000 people died from both the bombs and radiation and 70,147 buildings were incinerated or utterly destroyed from the bombs. After the bombings, the leader of Japan (Emperor Hirohito) announced Japan's surrender on August 15, 1945. Now, the radiation from the atomic bombs still remains, although they no longer have an effect on the people. Hiroshima and Nagasaki have rebuilt from the tragedy and are now large, thriving metropolises. Today, a lesson that we can take away from the tragic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is that one can never know how, where, and when a war can end.
i think a main character should be someone who some how survives bomb and helps other places not have what he had
DeleteA Main Conflict could be the preparation to the dropping of the bomb and all of the struggles that it took.
DeleteI think that your main conflict should be a boy in the city or town looking at the bomb drop from the plane.
DeleteYour main character should be kind and considerate and try to protect the people around them by finding a stable shelter and food for them rather than keeping the food for themselves.
DeleteJongsoo W, you could write your story about a family that doesn't have that great of a relationship. To bond, they travel to Hiroshima/Nagasaki (whichever place) in hopes to get closer. At that time the bombs fall and they try to protect each other. These bombing caused them to grow closer, delivering the message to spend time with your loved ones before it's gone.
DeleteOn January 17, 1920, an amendment was passed that banned the sale of alcohol in the United States. Christian groups had been wanting this amendment for a while, because they thought it would increase revenue, lower crime rates, and bring more money to the government. The exact opposite happened. Thousands were out of a job, the government lost three billion dollars in tax money, and the era of great gangsters started. Also, people were drinking more than ever! People made homemade or "bootleg" beer, and sold them in illegal establishments called speakeasies. Sometimes, the liquor was not healthy, so roughly 1,000 people died each year due to bad beer. On December 5, 1933, another amendment was passed that re-authorized the sale of alcohol.
