With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Per say the Boston Massacre. Patriots would taunt and bother loyalists and Soldiers. It came to the point where Patriots would ransack loyalists' stores. They had power in numbers and could overpower Soldiers and Loyalists. Eventually British Soldiers shot five Patriots in a "Massacre". That is why my lesson is with every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

DeleteYour character could be really frustrated with someone when the attack happens. Then they just get more and more upset as the events come to play out. Finally he could get stuck with that person he was frustrated with, and they could talk it out, and forgive each other.
DeleteThe great depression was when the stock market crashed. When this happened people rush to banks to get there money out because they didn't trust the banks. They dumped 342 chests of tea in to the Boston harbor. They were angry about the tea act and not having a say in taxes so they took a stand. They took a stand by protesting the tax on tea. DeleteIn 1802 a person named Humphry Davy made the world’s first light, but it wasn’t good enough so he gathered a group of inventors from around the world. Then they started to make the light bulb better. They ran into some problems while trying to make it better and last longer, One of the problems was that it would burn out after like 15 minutes. Another problem was the air would get trapped inside of the bulb and mess up the material inside. But after 70 years and many problems later they finally got it. Also the lesson of this story is to never give up.
ReplyDeleteyour main conflict could be the people that were trying to make a light bulb that would not burn the materials.

After people started protesting segregation schools and other places that were segregated thought ending segregation would increase discrimination against AAs. The NAACP fought for decades to end segregation but the government didn’t do anything, until 1964 when the Civil rights act of 1964 was put in place to ban segregation in all states. I think that this shows sometimes people think they’re doing the right thing when they’re really not.
ReplyDeleteI think a good main conflict would be a white character meeting a African American character and they become friends, and that convinces the main character segregation is wrong.
Deleteyou main conflict could be about two friends one black and the other one white that are split up due to racism
DeleteYour main conflict could be a person who works in the government trying to pass that act.
DeleteI think you could have the character be the people that passed the laws
Deleteit would be cool if african guy meet with the white guy and they became friends
DeleteYou could have your character be someone who was protesting and took a much farther step than others, someone who was just a regular person but was really passionate about this topic.
DeleteThe Great Depression is an economic depression that affected all of the world for about 10 years. A lesson you could learn is you can always come back from a low point in life. For example, the Great Depression started in the United States in 1929 and ended in 1939. The way the Great Depression "started" was the stock market crashed. Eventually, banks and businesses had to close and the economy grew smaller due to that. They eventually opened up again and the economy was able to grow back out of a depression.
ReplyDeleteA possible main conflict could be theres is a stock broker and they invested all of their life savings into some good stocks and then all of a sudden bam the great depression started and they become poor.

DeleteIn the dark times of World War 1, would you have ever expected a truce? Well that’s what many were also wondering about. The truce is called The Christmas Truce of 1914. German troops were spotted by British soldiers waving their arms in the air to signify they meant no harm on the dawn of Christmas day. British troops were wary, but told the German troops they could meet in No Man's Land. They soon put in place a truce, and instead of fighting many that day spent time burying fallen soldiers. Some also traded gifts, and played soccer. For a few days after the truce continued, but was soon shut down. What we can learn from this remarkable event is that holidays can bring together even the worst of enemies. Even if only for a little while.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI think that your conflict could be that two soldiers from each sides became friends and after the truce had ended they went back to war and they didn't want to fight and kill each other.
DeleteYou could talk about a soldier from the German and British army meeting up with each other having fun and later on say a last goodbye of truce knowing that they both might die.
DeleteMike your main character fell sadness due to a friend passing during the war
DeleteSome conversations that take place could be may be, "what are they doing" "it's a trap keep your eyes out." Your main character could be a well trained soldier who didn't believe the Germans.
DeleteSeptember 11th 2001 is one of the most unforgettable dates in history. The second attack of the World trade center. The first attack was a bombing back in 1993 below the two buildings, but thankfully the bombing failed to destroy the world trade center. This shows that some people won't give up until they reach their goal.

They planned the first world cup to be held in 1930 in Uruguay, without a qualifying tournament. They went through many troubles for the tournament to happen such as, south america teams saying they will forfeit unless european teams do, or raymond braine a very good belgium player being banned. This is a great example of how if there's a will there's always a way.
ReplyDeleteYour main conflict could be from the view of a manager. He is trying to get South America and Europe to both stay in the tournament. He is trying to control the chaos, but he isn't getting much support.

DeleteThe Boston Tea Party was a way of protest that was done by the Sons Of Liberty which occurred on December 16, 1773. The Tea Party was caused because Great Britain had put out the Tea Act which had given the East India Company a monopoly on tea. The Boston Tea Party was to also show the British government “No taxation without representation.” The Boston Tea Party was by the Sons of Liberty and although it was the Sons of Liberty it was done by merchants and a wide variety of people who wanted justice. I believe that the lesson to learn from this event is that no matter who or what you are you should fight for justice. The colonists were nothing compared to Great Britain and their army but they stood up for justice and rebelled.
ReplyDeleteOne suggestion for a main conflict is maybe going from lots of Tea to no Tea. You spelling/punctuation is great but I think that in the word Merchants the M should be capitalised.
DeleteI think a potential main conflict based off of the Boston Tea Party could be bravery or perseverance.
DeleteYour character could be a part of the sons of liberty. How they fight through the hardships.
DeleteMaybe for your main character's behavior, basing it off of a conflict of bravery, the character could try to be brave, because someone they admired was brave. The could also be trying to be brave because they are always afraid to act and want to prove that they can stand up for what they believe.
DeleteYour person could have native american cloths.

ReplyDeleteThe biggest lesson from Columbine is to not be complicit. This would have never happened if Eric Harris’s father had done more than hang up when a gun store called about ammunition purchased by Eric. This also would have never happened if the police were not so complicit, Eric Harris had been reported to the police for saying he wanted to kill people online. Yet Eric was not arrested for it. And finally the law makers were complicit in not making common sense gun laws before and after the tragedy of Columbine. We all must remember when people become complicit things go wrong and people die, without complicitness Columbine would have been avoidable.
I think maybe the main character could go through Columbine and the story would be about them trying to cope with the trauma they faced.
DeleteI think a main conflict for your story could be your character going through trauma about what happened.

DeleteIn 1933 a devastating event known as the Holocaust began. Over 6 million people were murdered including 1/6 of them being children. Hitler was mostly the cause to all this. He put thoughts into others minds for them to think his actions was doing the world good. Without others support the Holocaust never would've taken place. Hitler tricked the people into supporting him. This shows that you can never really know someones true intentions. There's always another side to the story.
ReplyDeleteI think the conflict could be a child how asaped the holocaust by by pretending to be a german and he had to leave is family behind.

DeleteOn August, 13, 1937 the battle of Shanghai had started. Shanghai was China's government making a huge hit to China. It all started from the Oyama Incident. Oyama was brutally killed by the Chinese police because of him going to the Hung Chiao airport which was illegal under the terms of the 1932 ceasefire. This battle cause thousands of civilians and soldiers die causing other little battles making many soldiers die on both sides especially on the Chinese side. On September 11 through 15 150,000 Chinese soldiers died during that battle. There was also a Japanese bombing that killed 10,000 people in one day. The lesson is that small problems that a country does to another might lead to wars and conflicts causing many people and civilians to die. This battle is a great example of small problems equaling big problems causing lives.
ReplyDeleteYour main character could be one of the soldier, or it could be a civilian in or witnessed the Japanese bombing.

Delete“The Golden Rule” Everyone knows the Golden Rule, ‘treat others the way you wanna be treated’. Say you made a friend at school, you’re hanging out. You build up trust. Then say that best friend goes and tells all your secrets, or just starts spreading rumors about you. That is how the Native Americans were treated, when the colonists decided to take over their home. When Columbus “discovered” America, the first thought he had, and the rest of the world, was to colonize the place. They decided to be nice to them, be friends, make allies. As soon as the Native Americans turned their backs, they stabbed it. How would you like to be treated that way? Treating the native americans as slaves. Tricking them into fighting wars. During the revolutionary war, some of their villages were burned down. They were split apart into two groups: the British and the Colonists. Forced to fight their own kind. But before all that, the Native Americans had lots of ceremonies, traditions, they had a great government that even included women. So if you're gonna be rude to somebody, think about it first. Would you really want somebody to treat you that way?
ReplyDeleteYour character could be a child that gets a disease from the British, that kills them or a loved one.
DeleteMaybe your character could a Native American who fell in love with a british but instead of them getting together she is actually with someone else.
DeleteFor your main character I think it could be a native american child who's very nice and understanding.
DeleteFor your main character I think they could be a Native American experiencing their land being taken away by the colonists.
DeleteIn November 1979 until September 1981 Iran students captured the U.S embassy took 60 U.S. citizens for more than a year. My leasen is for people to pay more attention to what is going on around them so stuff like this does not happen again.

ReplyDeleteIn 1980 six american houseguest feared for their lives. In November 1980, during the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution student protesters overran the American embassy in Tehran taking 52 Americans hostage for 444 horrible days. But six American embassy workers were captured during the initial crisis.
Taylor knowing their lives were in danger gave them secret shelter in the homes of Canadian staffers. The (houseguests) as they were known stayed with Consular head John Sheardown and Ambassador Ken Taylor for 3 super tense months until their risky evacuation.
My lesson here is that sometimes you need to take a risk to get want you want or to be safer.
A main conflict for your story could be a family members point of view of someone they love being held hostage and not being able to be with them.
DeleteA main conflict for your story can maybe be from being hostages to not being hostages. You grammar, spelling, and punctuation is ok. After the fist sentence A for American should be capitalised and the S staffers should be capitalised.
DeleteThe main character of this story could be miserable all the time but then gets captured, then the main character changes at the end to being more positive.
DeleteYour character could be a hostage and how he/she survived.
DeleteThough the 18 and 19 hundred slavery was a Big problem master would own at least 50 slaves and think if at least every master had slaves think how many Africans would be bought over from Africa to the south where they would be stripped from their freedom and would have to do hard work and labor. Even they would have to labor if they were sick. And we take being able what we want to do for granted, for example, some historians have estimated that 6 to 7 million Africans were enslaved slaves. The lesson is trying to get is that people should be able to choose their destiny.

DeleteWhen the Titanic sunk, there were not enough boats for everyone and a lot of people died. Many of the rich people survived. When the person with the binocular keys left the boat for something, he forgot to give the keys to the person who replaced him. If they had the keys, they could have spotted the ice burg and the Titanic may not have sunk. A lesson that could be learned from this is that you should check your plans for flaws.
ReplyDeletePerhaps when the person with the binocular keys goes to get something instead of forget to give them to the person who replaces him, he gives it to the other person but the person drops the keys.
DeleteMaybe your main conflict could be the main character one of the men who escorted people to lifeboats safely.
DeleteA main conflict for your story could be the person who forgot to give the keys back point of view, and how bad they felt after forgetting and causing the Titanic to sink.

DeleteIn 1474 the construction of China's great wall had started. You are leading the construction you start off with making a mostly wooden wall but that didn't seem to work. Your team started making a new wall around the old one with the earth around, it's better but not good enough. You and your team start making a wall made of stone, brick limestone and the earth around. you would have to sacrifice billions of men in order to do it you stuck with the plan and the wall stayed up for centuries. It was one of the largest military structures in the world and most said you could see it from the moon. It was obviously a lie but it gave China hope for years. A lesson here is to never give up, they never gave up the great wall. An example is that the wall isn't not one wall it multiple which shows that they never gave up.

DeleteThe Black Death, or Yersinia Pestis started in the early 1340’s. It was a disease that swept the nation, and took the lives of many innocent victims. This was a time where the people who were infected or knew people who were infected had to act. These people had to learn to adapt to a situation and find a way around it to save their lives. They started to perform rituals to cleanse themselves, and began to quarantine. They all fought for their lives, and the lives of their loved ones. They took the bodies of the deceased and put them in trenches, and did everything they could to stop the deadly virus from spreading. They all tried their best to Stop the spread, and their efforts paid off with the slow, but still very joyous end of the outbreak of Yersinia Pestis. This is a lesson to the people of today to overcome and adapt to any abrupt and scary change that may come your way, and that no matter what there will always be light in your life.

ReplyDeleteThe great depression; one of the most economic downturns in history. Unemployment is high and production has decreased. This caused the stock market which many invested in crashed. 30 billion dollars were lost in this incident. Banks were closing because they had no money; people were frustrated because many lost their life savings. People then turned to the streets and sold food or really anything to make money. Farmers lost their jobs because the price for their food dropped. These prices dropped and dropped and then farmers went bankrupt. This was all caused because money was going in but not coming back out. Back then you bought something and it lasted a lifetime. Sounds great right but it’s terrible for the economy. Think about this right. You're a business owner and you take money from the bank to start to make your cars for example. Now you're in debt but people buy your cars and you start making money. After a while since your car lasts a long time people stop buying cars. Now think about this with other products. You still have a mountain of cars and other products unsold. Now you start losing money and unemployment rises and now you're bankrupt. This happened to all the companies from back then. The lesson is that we need people to buy products to help support the economy but people aren’t going to buy things just because of that. So that’s why the act of planned obsolescence comes in. It makes sure that after a while your device and other products stop working. This might sound bad to many people but it’s very important for the economy, but nowadays it happens naturally. Like your cellular device is a great example. People think that only 1 or 2 older generation devices are out of fashion. So naturally they buy the new model and the cycle continues, but there is one main issue. This causes a ton of waste.
ReplyDeleteYour main conflect could be how you were a thriving bussiness owner and as the economy crashes you go bankrupt but you come up with an idea to save bussinesses without causing a ton of waste.
DeleteYou could talk about how you were a person that had a business which quickly went bankrupt making you one of the people desperately finding food to survive.
